Position Overview

We are seeking a full‑time Maintenance Technician I in Denton, TX. The role supports the Class‑A appeal of our properties, responding to resident requests, performing routine and preventative maintenance, and ensuring apartments are ready for new tenants. The typical schedule is 8:00a.m.–5:00p.m., Monday‑Friday, with a rotating on‑call schedule for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, including interior and exterior painting, lightbulb replacement, emergency lighting checks, and filter replacements.
• Respond promptly to resident repair requests involving entry gates/doors, sheetrock, electrical, plumbing, and appliances.
• Provide exceptional customer service while performing maintenance tasks.
• Prepare apartments for new tenants by completing necessary repairs and touch‑ups.
• Execute daily checklists and address unexpected maintenance needs as they arise.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of general property/facility maintenance experience.
• Experience with plumbing repairs, basic electrical repairs, appliance repairs, and painting.
• Preferred EPA Universal certification.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• Ability to pass a satisfactory background and drug screen.
• Own maintenance tools and reliable transportation.
• Capacity to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment

The job involves exposure to outdoor weather conditions, paint fumes and other cleaning chemical fumes, and a work environment with a potentially loud noise level.

Schedule & On‑Call

Full‑time position of 40 hours or more per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00a.m.–5:00p.m., with on‑call rotation nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, squat, crawl, climb, and ascend/descend stairs continuously.
• Speak, hear, read, write, and speak English.
• Lift or move items up to 80pounds without assistance.
• Maintain close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision as required.
