Job summary

Novolex in City of Industry, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to proactively maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires 4+ years in a manufacturing maintenance role, experience with 480V 3-phase/machine controls, and preferred experience with VFD drives and PLCs. Shift: 3rd, 10:00pm–6:00am; starting pay $34.27–$41.14 per hour. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance mechanic/technician role in a manufacturing environment.
• Electrical training/experience with 480 3 phases/machine controls.
• Experience with VFD Drives and PLCs preferred.
• Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service.
• Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Performs mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Safely operate and repair forklift and maintain clean, orderly work areas.

Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for proactively maintaining production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service
• Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs
• Performs mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines
• Performs electrical troubleshooting and repair on various equipment and building maintenance
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Will use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Safely operate and repair forklift
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance mechanic/technician role in a manufacturing environment
• Electrical training/experience with 480 3 phases/machine controls
• Experience with VFD Drives and PLCs preferred
• Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
• Work overtime as required
• Ability perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation

• Ability to successfully multitask in a fast pace environment
