Hotel Equities is seeking a dependable Maintenance Tech/Houseman to maintain the hotel’s facilities, fixtures, and guest areas. The role focuses on routine and preventative tasks to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper operation throughout the property.

Ideal candidates will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting tasks, respond quickly to requests, and document all work orders. This is a hands-on position with a focus on reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior hotel maintenance, engineering, facilities, or building maintenance experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repair practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine maintenance issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems to identify maintenance needs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, associates, and management.
• Maintain hotel facilities, equipment, and common areas in a safe and operational condition.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Complete work orders and document completed maintenance activities.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maintain property standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company, hotel brand, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Respond appropriately to urgent property needs and support emergency maintenance situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a dependable, service-oriented Maintenance Tech/Houseman to join our team.

Pay Range

USD $19.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.

Job Purpose

The Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining the hotel's physical facilities, equipment, and guest areas to ensure a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning environment. This position responds to maintenance needs, performs routine repairs and preventative maintenance, and supports the overall operational needs of the hotel.

What You'll Do

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull equipment, supplies, and materials as needed.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Use ladders and perform work at various heights when necessary.
• Work in indoor and outdoor environments and in varying temperatures.
• Safely operate basic hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
