Job summary

Monroe Group in Texas City, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold safety, appearance, and operation standards for our community. You will oversee interior and exterior maintenance, inspect properties, manage Make-Ready boards, and coordinate with outside vendors under the Community Manager's direction.

Responsibilities include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structure maintenance; budget-aware material purchasing; and ensuring Safe, Decent, and

Qualifications

• English language proficiency (read, speak, and write).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of maintenance technician experience including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair knowledge.
• Experience in an affordable housing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, exterior structure.
• Performs property and unit inspections.
• Maintains the property curb appeal and general cleanliness.
• Schedules and maintains Make-Ready Board.
• Purchasing materials & Budget Management.
• Ensure that maintenance teams deliver Safe, Decent, and Sanitary Housing to all our residents.
