Job summary

Cardinal Glass in Ocala, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd and 3rd shifts to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade automated manufacturing equipment throughout the facility.

You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot PLC/HMI, read schematics, support upgrades, and ensure safety compliance with OSHA standards. Weekend and overtime availability required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with automated systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting experience including 480V three-phase systems.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, automation controls, and robotics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform emergency, corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, HMI, robotics, and automated systems.
  • Maintain conveyor systems, overhead cranes, material handling equipment, and other industrial machinery.
  • Perform electrical maintenance on 480V three-phase, high-voltage DC, and 24VDC systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
  • Conduct inspections and support equipment upgrades and engineering projects.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with OSHA and company safety standards.

Maintenance Technician (2nd & 3rd Shift)

Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly

Location: Ocala, FL

Position Summary

Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading mechanical, electrical, electronic, and automated manufacturing equipment throughout the facility. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

  • Perform emergency, corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, HMI, robotics, and automated systems.
  • Maintain conveyor systems, overhead cranes, material handling equipment, and other industrial machinery.
  • Perform electrical maintenance on 480V three-phase, high-voltage DC, and 24VDC systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with automated systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting experience including 480V three-phase systems.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, automation controls, and robotics.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work from vertical lifts, up to 30 feet.
  • Basic Microsoft Windows computer skills and file management experience.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Availability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Exposure to noise, heat, dust, fumes, machinery, and moving equipment.
  • Potential exposure to outdoor weather conditions and commercial chemicals.
  • Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
