Job summary

Arxada is seeking a Maintenance Tech in Helena, AR to install, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in compliance with safety and predictive maintenance systems. The role requires hands-on ability with tools and equipment as well as adherence to food safety standards.

Essential functions include performing preventive maintenance, completing maintenance requests promptly in Intelex, and using tools for diagnosis and fabrication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Degree (preferred).
• Associate Degree helpful.
• Field of Study specified by role or program.

Responsibilities

• Operate, disassemble, and assemble industrial equipment independently or supervise others.
• Use specialized tools to repair and diagnose equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections (daily/weekly/monthly/yearly) and document in Intelex.
• Complete maintenance requests in Intelex promptly.
• Design and fabricate process piping, catwalks, staircases, and equipment supports with material estimation.
• Weld stainless and mild steel using MIG/ARC welding and follow pipe fitting procedures.
• Understand plant processes and equipment and operate company equipment (boom lifts, forklifts, etc.).
• Follow NEC and OSHA regulations for industrial construction and repair.
• Maintain compliance with FDA, SQF, HACCP and GMP food safety standards.

As a Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the goals and objectives of the company.

Essential Functions

• Must have the ability to operate, disassemble, and assemble industrial equipment/ machinery independently or to supervise a lower-level employee in the correct company procedure for the repairs being made.
• Must have own hand tools and toolbox.
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance inspections in Intelex.
• Responsible for completing maintenance requests in Intelex in a timely manner.
• Ability to use specialized tools for repairing, measuring, testing, and diagnosing industrial equipment/machinery.
• Able to design and fabricate process piping, catwalks, staircases, equipment stands/supports and correctly estimate how much material will be needed for the job.
• Advanced knowledge of procedures to MIG and ARC weld stainless and mild steel.
• Advanced knowledge of pipe fitting procedures.
• Must have advanced knowledge of plant processes and equipment.
• Must be proficient in using all of the company equipment such as boom lifts, scissors lifts, welding trailers, water trailer, forklifts, and golf carts.
• Advanced knowledge of the NEC and OSHA regulations on industrial construction and repair.
• This position inspects, promotes, and maintains adherence to food safety cleanliness in the handling of product, ingredients and finished goods using proper work procedures and compliance with Food Safety and Quality Standards as defined by the FDA, SQF, HACCP and GMP Programs.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
