Job summary

Ferrous Processing and Trading (FPT) is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Detroit, MI to repair and maintain machinery and production equipment. The role emphasizes safety, PPE usage, and accurate record keeping as you inspect, troubleshoot, and service a variety of plant and yard equipment.

You will perform torch cutting and welding, replace worn components, and install new hydraulic and air lines. The job requires the ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, 18+.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a machine repair technician.
• 2 year trade school preferred.
• Experience with mobile equipment repair preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors.
• Pre-employment background, physical, and hair drug screen required.

Responsibilities
