Job summary

Saugus Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a maintenance assistant to join our on-site team in Massachusetts. You will inspect the facility, perform repairs, install equipment, follow codes, and maintain logs and shift reports.

Qualified candidates may have 1+ year maintenance or related experience; a HS diploma/GED is required, with lifting and mobility capabilities to support equipment and facility upkeep.

Qualifications

• At least one year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma or GED
• 2t years of experience
• Ability to stand or walk for extended period of time; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift or move heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment.
• Handles necessary repairs and maintenance tools including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools
• Installs equipment and appliances.
• Follows local and state building codes.
• Complies with all company safety regulations.
• Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports.
• Reports any issues to the Director of maintenance
• Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
