Job summary

A leading food processing company in Plainwell, Michigan is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining mechanical equipment and machinery, diagnosing issues, and performing preventive maintenance. A high school diploma is required, with technical training preferred. Strong knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and general mathematics are essential. Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain and test mechanical equipment, machinery and components.
• Identify parts or machines needing new or replacement parts.
• Interpret drawings of equipment to adjust, maintain or repair machinery.
• Respond to mechanical issues identified by production.
• Communicate with management to diagnose potential mechanical issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

Skills

Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment

General mathematic ability

Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings

Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures

Education

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Technical school preferred
