Mayroad is seeking a Maintenance Technician Generalist to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential properties and assets for military housing. Duties span structural, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, steam, and related tasks across multiple locations, with PPE and safety emphasized.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, pass background/drug checks, hold a REAL-ID, and possess EPA 608 HVAC certification with a valid vehicle and smartphone for on-site coordination.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION REQUIREMENT - High school graduate or GED; may be offset by experience.
• Background check to access Air Force installation.
• Pass a 12-panel pre-employment drug test.
• REAL-ID compliant driver license required to drive on the Air Force Installation.
• Must read/understand English for work documentation.
• Experience in residential maintenance across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC or steam systems.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician Generalist diagnoses, repairs, and maintains the physical condition and appearance of residential properties and other Mayroad assets (pool, community center, playgrounds, ice rinks, dog parks, community garden, etc.), including, but not limited to structural, paint, plumbing, HVAC (for positions located in CA, FL, NC, and KS), Steam (for positions located in AK), pressure washing, cleaning, electrical, etc., depending on assigned core duties.

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT - High school graduate or GED; may be offset by experience.

• Ability to pass a state and federal background check to obtain access to the Air Force installation
• Ability to pass a 12-panel pre-employment drug test.
• Valid, unrestricted REAL-ID compliant driver's license required to drive on the Air Force Installation.
• Ability to read, understand, interpret, and communicate work-related information and documentation in English, both verbally and in writing, as necessary to perform the essential functions of the position
• Experience performing residential maintenance and repair work across multiple skilled trades, including carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, and HVAC systems (for positions located in CA, FL, NC, and KS) or steam systems (for positions located in AK).
• Must have Universal EPA 608 HVAC certification or steam experience based on location requirements.
• Must have personal vehicle for on-the-job transportation.
• Must have personal smart phone for on-the-job communication.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works performing repairs/construction in a residential environment. The position requires regular use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Involves working in a non-climate-regulated environment. May involve exposure to extreme heat/cold, temperature changes, exposure to noise (85+ decibels), exposure to hazardous materials, use of power tools, atmospheric conditions, water, industrial hazards, electric shock, ice and slipping hazards, heights, and falling hazards, and other hazardous working conditions. Requires limited daily time in an office environment.

Physical Demands

The heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds is expected. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force is required. The employee is frequently required to walk, climb, lift, carry, balance, reach, grasp, handle, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
