Job summary

LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide mechanical, electrical, and technical support across the facility on an on-site basis in Streetsboro, OH.

The role requires a proactive, organized, and communicative individual to uphold safety and reliability in operations. Responsibilities include inspections, repairs, maintenance of HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and documentation of activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade schooling preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Experience operating high lift or forklift.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to navigate multiple computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Repair walls, floors, doors, windows, and other structural elements.
• Maintain lighting, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Follow preventive maintenance plans to avoid breakdowns.
• Document all maintenance activities and report issues.
• Ensure safety regulations and policies are followed.
• Use PPE properly and assist with material movements.
• Keep work areas and storage spaces clean and organized.
• Support other departments with manual labor as needed.

Requirements

Primary Duties

• Conduct inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
• Repair walls, floors, doors, windows, and other structural elements.
• Maintain lighting systems, HVAC units, and plumbing fixtures.
• Follow scheduled maintenance plans to prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Document maintenance activities and report potential issues.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
• Assist with moving materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Clean and organize work areas, storage rooms, and common spaces.
• Support other departments with manual labor tasks as needed.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Request or order replacement parts when necessary.
• Keep tools and equipment in good working conditions.
