Preferred Apartment Communities seeks an Apartment Maintenance Technician to handle maintenance requests, repairs, and resident support in our Gloucester Point community. You will tackle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues, while preparing units for occupancy and keeping facilities orderly.

The role requires 1–3 years of maintenance experience and a refrigeration certification or ability to obtain one within 90 days. A valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years maintenance experience, apartment maintenance preferred.
• Refrigeration certification (Type II or Universal) required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, move 300+ lb items, climb 40-ft ladders, and use hand tools and test equipment.

• Handle administrative and contractor tasks such as logging service requests, updating databases, and monitoring vendor performance.

• 1-3 years maintenance experience with strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities; apartment maintenance preferred.
• Refrigeration certification (Type II or Universal) required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, move 300‑lb items on wheels, climb 40‑ft ladders, and use hand tools, test equipment, and hand trucks.
• Ability to move heavy equipment such as appliances, laundry machines, building materials, and amenity equipment (often 100–300+ lbs), including up stairs when required.
• Comfort working at heights and in varied conditions while performing repairs, upgrades, and resident service tasks using ladders and other equipment.

• Expected pay range of of $22.00/hour-$23.00/hour. You will be provided a pay rate that is in line with your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the job
