Job summary

Staffmark is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Statesboro, GA to troubleshoot and repair building systems, perform preventive maintenance, and keep apartments and common areas safe and functional.

The role requires knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair, with a valid driver’s license; HVAC certification is a plus. Competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in apartment, facilities, or general maintenance.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and time-management skills.
• Professional customer service and communication abilities.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• HVAC certification is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance requests promptly and professionally
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues
• Replace fixtures, outlets, switches, faucets, toilets, and disposals
• Complete drywall repairs, painting, caulking, and trim work
• Repair doors, locks, windows, blinds, and flooring
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, water heaters, and equipment
• Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed
• Maintain buildings, grounds, and common areas
• Support seasonal maintenance and property improvements
• Document completed work and materials used
• Follow company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
