Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Electro-Mechanical) to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems. This role supports installations, upgrades, and startup projects and may run on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, PLC/VFD repair, reading schematics, and assisting operators.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in industrial maintenance in manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with industrial motors, controls, PLCs, VFDs, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic, and mechanical drawings.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience with industrial automation and control systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance on production equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and repair motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, sensors, safety circuits, relays, contactors, breakers, transformers, and other control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Install and modify electrical, mechanical, and control systems for equipment and projects.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, robotics, and automation systems.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment and repairs alongside Maintenance Team.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician (Electro-Mechanical) is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrialmanufacturing equipment and plant systems. This position performs preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment and supports equipment installations, upgrades, and start-up projects. This could be 1st, 2nd, OR 3rd shift.

• Perform preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance on industrial production equipment and manufacturing systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain and repair industrial motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, sensors, safety circuits, relays, contactors, breakers, transformers, and other industrial control systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot boilers, steam systems, air compressors, and other industrial plant utilities.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Install and modify electrical, mechanical, and control systems for production equipment and plant projects.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, robotics, and other industrial automation systems.
• Perform welding, fabrication, pipe fitting, and mechanical repairs as needed.
• Rebuild and fabricate components for industrial production equipment.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and document maintenance activities.
• Assist production operators and other Maintenance Team members with troubleshooting equipment and repairs.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with industrial motors, controls, PLCs, VFDs, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and mechanical drawings.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience with industrial automation and control systems preferred.
• Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a Maintenance Team.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to support plant operations.
