Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Maintenance Technician to serve as the first line of response for equipment issues, performing routine inspections and preventive repairs in the maintenance workshop, with mobility to address breakdowns on the production floor.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, 1+ year of maintenance experience, basic welding and electrical knowledge, and are willing to obtain Lock Out/Tag Out and forklift certifications; base schedule is Monday–Saturday with overtime

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must obtain Lock Out/Tag Out, Pallet Jack, and Forklift certifications.
  • Pass IMPACT level 2 test with a score of 40 or higher.
  • 1+ years in maintenance and basic welding/electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and apply standard symbols used in industrial documentation.
  • Diagnose and repair drive-related issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot bearing failures.
  • Assist in motor testing, diagnostics, and basic repairs.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot electrical circuits using Ohm’s Law and Kirchhoff’s Laws.
  • Safely use multimeters and diagnostic tools.
  • Execute welding operations following safety and quality standards.
  • Interpret welding symbols and apply appropriate techniques for repairs and fabrication.
  • Take on additional responsibilities to support the Maintenance and Plant Operations Teams.
