Job summary

Steel Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative, routine, and emergency mechanical and electrical maintenance. You will troubleshoot, repair, and improve safety, quality, and efficiency across the plant.

The role operates on 1st shift (4:30am–3:00pm, Mon–Fri, possible weekends) with compensation ranging from $25–$32 per hour, based on experience, and is on-site in Huger, SC.

Qualifications

• Retrieve and input data in CMMS using Excel.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and basic electrical knowledge.
• Operate motor control systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, hoists, fire protection and mechanical bearing systems.
• Follow safety rules and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on plant machinery.
• Carry out the preventative maintenance program for the plant.
• Identify and address safety concerns throughout the facility.
• Maintain general housekeeping and organization of the maintenance department and all equipment repair areas.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs and perform emergency maintenance.
