Job summary

ResProp Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team and help rise to the Maintenance Supervisor’s responsibilities.

You will drive resident satisfaction and property performance by timely, quality workmanship across common areas, units, and systems. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on trades in a multi-family setting.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of general maintenance/general repair experience, preferably in the multifamily or related industry.
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred.
• Trade skills including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, framing, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliance, etc.
• Trade Licensing preferred but not required.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Must live within 30 minutes of community.
• Must be willing to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule.
• Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job such as lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Driving resident satisfaction by responding to and completing work orders timely in a quality manner.
• Driving property performance by maintaining clean, safe, and attractive common areas including pools, laundry, clubhouses, and parking lots.
• Coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks.
• Providing excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
• Maintaining property value by performing preventative maintenance throughout the property.
• Preparing vacant apartments for move-in to ensure quick occupancy.
• Identifying safety hazards and reporting or correcting them with the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintaining and repairing critical building and site systems.
• Using software applications to track work and personal performance.

What you'll be doing as a Maintenance Technician:

• Ensuring Resident satisfaction by preparing vacant apartments for move-in.
• Ensuring a safe work environment by identifying any issues regarding safety, hazardous conditions or maintenance needs on the property and correcting them and/or reporting them to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintaining and repairing critical building and site systems.
• Using software applications to track work and personal performance.
• Be a part of a team handling a variety of tasks in an always developing environment.

What you must have:

• At least 1 year of general maintenance/general repair experience, preferably in the multifamily or related industry

Physical Requirements

Requires ability to walk, stand, sit and climb stairs alternatively for the purposes of completing office work, inspection of apartments, and to conduct sales tours.

Approximately 60% of time spent walking and climbing and 30% sitting.

Requires the ability to lift or carry for the purposes of document dissemination, preparation of apartments for customers, and moving furniture/appliances within the office and apartment environment.
