Job summary

Magna Castings North America is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our die casting manufacturing team. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing die casting equipment to ensure safe, efficient production.

The successful candidate will conduct preventive maintenance, read technical manuals and schematics, and collaborate with production to schedule maintenance with minimal impact on output. High school diploma and relevant maintenance training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in maintenance or industrial systems preferred.
• Experience in die casting or metal fabrication is a plus.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on die casting machines and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
• Repair and adjust equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Assist with installation, setup, and calibration of new machinery and tooling.
• Maintain maintenance logs and work orders; document repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production to minimize downtime.

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation of repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal impact on production schedules.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in die casting or metal fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in maintenance or industrial systems preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Standing for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
