Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to oversee, maintain, and repair equipment and facility structures in our large warehouse environment. You will troubleshoot lift equipment, conveyor systems, and related mechanical systems.

This role requires 18+ years, legal work authorization, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will report to the Area Supervisor and contribute to a safe, clean, and efficient operation with adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Trade school degree or equivalent related to the job.
• Must be 18+ years of age or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Conveyor system experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, and related mechanical/hydraulic issues.
• Performs preventative maintenance and modifications on equipment and buildings.
• Provides equipment status reports detailing maintenance problems.

Position Purpose:

Oversees, maintains, and repairs equipment as well as other facility structures in a complex, warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• 50% Troubleshoots and repairs electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, as well as technical, mechanical hydraulic and pheumatic issues where needed. Understands and troubleshoots conveyor operating system logic
• 20% Performs preventative maintenance as well as necessary modifications on electric lift equipment, conveyor systems and buildings.
• 10% Provides equipment status report, including details of unusual maintenance problems.
• 10% Follows all safety guidelines established by manufacturer, Home Depot, or government agencies. Adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standards
• 10% Maintains safe and clean working environment, performing daily cleanup of work areas

• This position reports to Area Supervisor.
• This position has 0 direct reports.

Travel Requirements:

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

• Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Working Conditions:

• Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
