Job summary

Guest Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Big Sur, CA to perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems at the assigned unit. You will follow directions from the Maintenance Manager and help ensure safety, security, and smooth operations.

The role requires inspecting facilities, responding to emergencies, and maintaining equipment and inventories. A valid driver’s license and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of jumper system, drive system, sweep system, and electrical systems.
• Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record required.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.

Responsibilities

• Receive direction from the Maintenance Manager and assist in maintenance and repair of the unit’s operations.
• Conduct scheduled inspections of buildings and equipment; check and repair malfunctions.
• Respond promptly to emergency facility needs and security issues.
• Lock and secure buildings; monitor and reset security systems as needed.
• Assist with inventory and security of supplies for maintenance needs.

Notify Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues.* Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
