American Capital Realty Group, Inc. is seeking Maintenance Technicians for apartment communities in Colorado Springs, CO.

You will support on-site maintenance, respond to service requests, and help keep residents’ homes in excellent condition. Responsibilities include completing make-ready of vacant apartments, providing 24-hour emergency maintenance as scheduled, carrying an on-call cell phone, monitoring building systems, grounds work, and ensuring safety and compliance with company policies

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in basic trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting).
• HS Diploma or GED; able to pass background check.
• Able to lift 50–100 lbs occasionally; 25–50 lbs frequently; 10–20 lbs constantly.
• Automobile and auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Complete make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager.
• Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
• Carry cell phone as required for on-call maintenance.
• Monitor and maintain building systems as assigned.
• Complete grounds work and landscaping as directed.
• Alert Maintenance Supervisor/Community Manager of unusual occurrences or damages.
• Submit payroll time sheets and mileage as determined.
• Maintain a professional, courteous manner with residents, vendors, and fellow employees.
• Ensure safety standards and compliance with company policies and laws.

Large property management firm has multiple positions available at several of our communities. We are seeking qualified Maintenance Technicians for our apartment communities in Colorado Springs, CO. We are seeking individuals who are customer service-oriented, driven, and professional. Our firm was established in 1995 and currently manages over 4,000 apartment units. Under the general direction of the Property Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager, the Maintenance Technician will help oversee the effective operations of the community (see below for expected responsibilities).

RESPONSIBILITIES

MAINTENANCE

• Complete make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager.
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled
• Carry cell phone as required for on-call maintenance
• Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned
• Complete grounds work as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas, and maintaining landscaping beds and other areas
• Responsible for alerting the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that has taken place or that may occur
• Complete payroll time sheets and mileage reimbursement and submit to Maintenance Supervisor as determined
• Maintain a professional, courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
• Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State, and Federal guidelines
• Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner
• Follow established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must have Maintenance experience in basic trades; carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting
• Automobile and auto insurance required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Successful completion of background check
• Ability to work as a self-starter
• Ability to communicate with fellow employees as well as tenants and outside vendors
• This job requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
