Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support an affordable housing community in San Francisco. You will perform routine, preventive, and cosmetic maintenance under supervision, assist with make-ready, and help ensure safety and compliance with standards.

The role emphasizes on-site work, strong attention to detail, and timely response to resident needs. A valid high school diploma and basic computer skills are required, with OSHA and Fair Housing knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Community maintenance across common areas, buildings, and units.
• Respond to resident/management requests and work orders promptly.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including cosmetic tasks.
• Assist with the make-ready process for new residents.
• Maintain pool chemical logs and perform pool maintenance.
• Inspect grounds and facilities daily for safety hazards.
• Keep a safe, organized maintenance shop and follow OSHA guidelines.
• Participate in on-call emergencies and document service activities.
• Support inventory monitoring and record-keeping.
