Job summary

Cabinetworks Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift in Ohio to maintain and repair electro-mechanical woodworking equipment, including conveyors, spray booths, and curing systems. You will diagnose electrical faults, repair motors, drives, PLCs, and HMIs, and document work in the CMMS system.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, safety awareness, and the ability to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ Years’ experience in a heavy mechanical / electrical manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of TPM / Lean or other continuous improvement processes.
• Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) trained or willing to become trained.
• Proficient reading technical documents, drawings, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on woodworking equipment including conveyors, boring/sanding equipment, and automated systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical machine control malfunctions and repair complex equipment (motors, switches, PLCs, HMIs).
• Document all work in Limble CMMS per work order guidelines.
• Assist engineers in diagnosing problems and suggest corrective actions.
• Maintain safe work practices and comply with OSHA and EPA regulations.

## Maintenance Technician, 3rd shiftApplylocations: US - Ohio - Middlefieldtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: REQ67870# **Job Description****Maintenance Technician**With limited supervision, the Maintenance Technician 1M performs advanced scheduled, un-scheduled and emergency tasks on all electro-mechanical equipment in designated areas to minimize down time in order to meet all quality and productivity objectives.This position requires the ability to troubleshoot electrical machine control malfunctions, repair complex electrical equipment including motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems and alarms.This is accomplished by working from schematics, drawings, layouts and equipment manuals along with utilizing meters, PLC faults and equipment Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)Additional Duties:* Performs a wide variety of functions such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment designed for the wood working industry such as boring and sanding equipment, fluid distribution systems, automated spray booths, curing ovens and conveyors involving AC/DC motors, pumps, drives, inverters, gearboxes, PLCs and HMIs* Demonstrates the ability to prevent equipment down time through observation, communication with production staff and maintenance leadership. Assists engineers in diagnosing problems and suggests corrective action. Contributes in team decision making. Provide support in project work and other special requests.* Continuously reviewing current processes and searching out improvement methods to improve product/process quality and reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that adds no value to the work or process.* Communicates and documents all work performed in Limble CMMS, in compliance with work order process guidelines.* Improvising acceptable fixes to get equipment running promptly.* Consistently works in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems.
