Job summary

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, part of the Knorr-Bremse Group, seeks a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician on the 3rd shift to lead complex maintenance and automation projects, diagnose advanced systems, and support upgrades in a manufacturing environment.

You will perform PLC diagnostics, programming tweaks, maintain SCADA/HMI, support robotics, install electrical infrastructure, and mentor junior technicians while collaborating with vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Expertise in PLC programming, automation, and controls.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and mentor junior technicians.

3rd shift (overnight)- Sun- Thur, 11 PM - 7 AM

• Pay depends on results of assessment (up to $36.15/hr starting rate + $1/hr shift differential)

Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Level A Technician leads complex maintenance and automation projects, performs advanced diagnostics, and supports system upgrades and integration. This role is critical to plant reliability and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead advanced troubleshooting and repair of complex systems
• Full PLC diagnostics and minor programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
• Maintain SCADA and HMI systems
• Robotics and automation systems support
• Perform advanced electrical diagnostics and controls work
• Manage maintenance projects and system upgrades and retrofits
• Technical training and development of team members
• Communicate and assist with outside vendors
• Perform electrical panel work and wiring (all voltages)
• Install electrical infrastructure (all voltages)
• Plumbing repair and installation (black iron pipe, PVC, Pneumatic tubing)
• Calibration of sensors and instrumentation
• Maintain HVAC systems
• Fabricate and weld complex components (MIG/Stick)

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Expertise in PLC programming, automation, and controls
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Strategic thinking and continuous improvement
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior technicians
• Time management and reliability

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of industrial Ethernet, instrumentation, and energy systems
• Compliance with NFPA, NEC, and OSHA standards
