We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician with abackground in plastics manufacturing to keep our injection molding operations running at peak efficiency. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and perform timely emergency repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, air, water, and mechanical systems, minimizing production downtime.
- Electrical & PLC Systems: Trace electrical schematics, read ladder logic, test inputs/outputs on PLC control diagrams, and safely work with 240V and 480V circuits using voltmeters, voltage testers, and amp probes.
- Auxiliary & Tooling Support: Maintain and repair plant support equipment, including thermolators, resin dryers, vacuum loading systems, hot runner controllers, chillers, tower pumps, and robotics.
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Conduct scheduled PMs, maintain hydraulic fluid levels, replace filters, grease machinery, and audit equipment safety devices.
- Work Orders & Compliance: Read, conduct, and close work orders, maintain daily forklift maintenance logs, and strictly enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 5+ years of maintenance experience specifically in an injection molding department (Toshiba press experience is a plus).
- Education: Associate's degree/technical certification OR 1+ years of formal maintenance experience combined with relevant field training.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading electrical and hydraulic schematics, identifying electrical symbols, reading ladder logic, and using electrical diagnostics tools on up to 480V systems.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to carry up to 75 lbs, apply up to 180 lbs of torque, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
- General Skills & Logistics: Basic math skills (percentages, proportions), clear communication across all shifts, and availability to support weekday or weekend overtime.
