Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, the position of Maintenance Technician 3 is to maintain the general appearance of the campus, including buildings, grounds and infrastructure.

Essential Functions
- Completes daily maintenance duties such as trash removal, building repairs, responding to maintenance calls and snow removal.
- Participates in long-term maintenance projects, including repair/remodel of rooms, buildings and other improvements to grounds and infrastructure.
- Operates equipment safely, including but not limited to trucks, ground equipment, carpentry tools, etc.
- Completes routine maintenance of equipment to ensure good working condition.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment, including vehicle construction areas.
- Completes maintenance and repairs as needed in groundskeeping, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and mechanical repairs, or any additional area deemed necessary by the Director Of Facilities.
- Works independently or as a team member to complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Attends and participates in meetings and training sessions.
- Works regularly-scheduled weekend rotations; must be able to arrive early or stay late when bad weather (snow) or other needs arise.
- As a 24‑hour operation, all staff may be asked to work weekends, evenings, night shifts and/or holidays in order to serve our members, guests, and program participants.
Requirements
- A high school degree or equivalent is required.
- With 3‑5 years of experience, demonstrates a high-level of expertise in grounds keeping, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and mechanical repairs.
- Must have the ability to interpret data, oral and written.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of people representing all social and economic segments of the community.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, lift, pull, climb, and push for prolonged periods; must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. Other physical requirements may include ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
