Job summary

PS Seasoning is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician for the 2nd shift (2pm–10pm) in Iron Ridge, WI. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electromechanical systems across food production lines to ensure safety, quality, and uptime.

The role requires 5–7 years of electromechanical maintenance experience, a related degree or certification, and proficiency with PLCs, TIG welding, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certification in Electromechanical Technology or related field.
• 5–7 years of electromechanical maintenance experience.
• Food industry or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficient in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• TIG welding to meet 3A standards.
• Proficient in troubleshooting 120V and 24V systems, PLCs, pneumatic/hydraulic components, fabrication.
• Strong understanding of electrical circuits, PLCs, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills; able to lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular and emergency maintenance on conveyors, packaging machines, and automated systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair 24V/120V control voltage systems and PLCs.
• Conduct mechanical repairs on pneumatic and hydraulic systems; assist fabrication.
• TIG welding to meet 3A sanitary standards.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
• Implement preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain detailed documentation of repairs and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and production staff.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electromechanical systems used in our food production processes. Your expertise will ensure that our production lines operate efficiently and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.

What you’ll do:

• Perform regular and emergency maintenance on equipment such as conveyor belts, packaging machines, and automated systems
• Troubleshoot and repair 24V and 120V control voltage systems, including PLC diagnosis and troubleshooting as needed
• Conduct mechanical repairs on pneumatic and hydraulic systems; assist with fabrication as needed
• TIG welding to meet 3A sanitary standards for food-grade applications
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment, including upgrades and retrofits
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and company policies
• Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, maintenance, and equipment performance
• Collaborate closely with other technicians, engineers, and production staff
• Other duties as assigned by manager

What we’re looking for:

• Associate’s degree or certification in Electromechanical Technology, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Journeyman’s card preferred
• 5–7 years of experience in electromechanical maintenance required
• Food industry or manufacturing experience preferred
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• TIG welding skills to meet 3A standards.
• Proficient in troubleshooting 120v and 24v systems, PLCs, pneumatic/hydraulic components, fabrication, and TIG welding
• Strong understanding of electrical circuits, PLCs, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with maintenance
• Willingness to work in varied environmental conditions while following safety protocols
