Packaging Corporation of America, Seattle Plant (Algona, WA), seeks a Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment. This is a multi-craft role with on-the-job training and a 3-shift production schedule.

The starting pay ranges from $28.07 to $41.36 hourly, with shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package including health/dental/vision, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualificações

• Read and write in English.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work 2ND shift.
• 2+ Years’ experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• Must provide own tools. PCA will provide specialized tools.
• A Technical Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Trades is a plus.
• Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry is a plus.

Pay Range = $28.07 - $41.36 based on mechanical and electrical skills and experience.

1.5 Pay over 8 hrs. and over 40

1.5 Pay Saturday and Sunday

1.5 Pay Holidays + additional OT over 8 hours on holidays

PCA provides paid training to help technicians advance through the skill levels and achieve higher pay.

Technicians supply their own basic hand tools. PCA provides a tool stipend (or replacement) to help technicians maintain basic hand tools. PCA provides all special and heavy tools.

Responsibilities

• This position is based at the PCA Seattle Plant located in Algona, Washington.
• This position will perform a variety of maintenance tasks including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems on plant equipment.
• Technicians work as part of a team to safely perform Preventive Maintenance Activities as well as answer breakdown calls in a Production Environment.
• All Maintenance Technician positions are multi-craft, and training is provided to develop these skills.
• The production schedule is 3 shifts. Maintenance Technicians are placed on shifts according to plant needs and seniority. Opportunities to change shifts are available when organization changes occur or production schedules change.

Basic Qualifications

• Read and write in English
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work 2ND shift
• 2+ Years’ experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• Must provide own tools. PCA will provide specialized tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Technical Degree in the Mechanical or Electrical Trades is a plus.
• Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry is a plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Starting salary for position: $28.07 to $41.36 with shift differential for qualifying hours.
• Bonus: Annual – Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: Oneweek per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
