Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift in Huntington, Indiana. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairs, and diagnostics across mechanical and electrical systems to support reliability initiatives.

The position requires experience in industrial maintenance with hands-on skills in motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, electrical panels, PLCs, welding, and HVAC. Benefits start day one; a competitive hourly wage applies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• 25 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in reading ladder logic and using diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior technicians.
• Time management and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair motors, conveyors, pumps, and gearboxes.
• Perform electrical panel work and wiring (up to 480V supervised).
• Conduct PLC diagnostics with ability to connect with PLC.
• Fabricate and weld components (MIG/Stick).
• Maintain HVAC systems.
• Calibration of sensors and instrumentation.
• Plumbing repair and installation (Black iron pipe, PVC, Pneumatic tubing).
• Conduct lubrication, cleaning and visual inspections.
• Follow safety protocols including LOTO and PPE requirements.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

2nd shift: Mon-Fri 3 - 11 PM

Starting pay is dependent on an assessment ($25.70 - $35.16/hr) + $1/hr differential

Job Summary

• Intermediate HVAC, plumbing and welding

• Intermediate hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshootingStrong reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
• Strong documentation and reporting abilities
