Job summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of the Green Bay facility and mechanical and electrical systems. You will perform emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment to sustain plant operations with minimal downtime.

Associates degree or higher in electro-mechanical technology and 3+ years in packaging/process equipment maintenance in a food/beverage facility are required. Strong reading of blueprints/ladder logic and teamwork are essential.

  • Associate degree or higher in electro-mechanical technology.
  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging and process equipment line maintenance of machinery in food or beverage manufacturing facility.
  • Must have high attention to detail and be dependable and collaborative.
  • Willing to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams and ladder logic.
  • Install and modify production equipment; document operating standards and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the maintenance shop and document machinery usage.
  • Coordinate multiple maintenance projects and work with minimal supervision.
  • Follow GMP, safety, sanitation, and environmental protocols.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of the Green Bay facility and mechanical and electrical systems. The Maintenance Technician is expected to perform emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair general electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment with minimal downtime.Role and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for performing troubleshooting, repair work and preventative maintenance on all production machinery, equipment and instrumentation to sustain plant operations at highly efficient levels. Equipment includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and fluid handling systems.Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic prints and diagrams and ladder logic programs.Proficient in using hand, power, shop, and diagnostic tools.Ability to coordinate multiple jobs effectively, and to handle detailed and broad range projects.Ability to meet deadlines and be detail oriented.Ability to work with minimal supervision and to work flexible hours.Ability to communicate effectively (read, write, comprehension) and follow complicated verbal and/or written instructions.Install and modify production equipment and machinery.Document project activities and prepare appropriate operating standards and/or maintenance procedures for all equipment and processes.Complete documentation process for machinery usage, equipment maintenance.Maintain cleanliness of maintenance equipment shop.PC literate, email, and calendar outlook use.Skilled in electrical power/control, mechanical and fluid handling systems.Knowledge of production line packaging and filling equipment.Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the policy.Follows all Safety rules & procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others.Follow all food safety procedures.Follows all environmental protocols as applicable.Follows all sanitation procedures and work instructions.Any additional duties as assigned.Qualifications and ExperienceAssociate degree or higher in electro-mechanical technology or similarHigh school diploma or GED certificate.Minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging and process equipment line maintenance of machinery in food or beverage manufacturing facility.Required attributesMust have high attention to detail.Must be dependable, trustworthy, able to bring energy to the performance of a task and able to show consideration for and maintain good relations with others.Ability to exhibit a professional and collaborative demeanor toward others; able to work productively with a variety of personalities and individuals.Self-starter able to conceptualize and drive initiatives forward.Positive attitude and motivated by contributing to the overall success of the team.Comfortable moving at a fast pace and in ambiguous environments.Willing to address difficult situations head on with patience and respect.In addition, the ideal candidate will have confidentiality, quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability, and thoroughness of work performed; ability to gain the trust and respect of management team at the facility and employees, maintain the integrity of confidential business and product information; ability to communicate effectively and develop good working relationships with employees at all levels of the company, and ability to work with and through others is essential to accomplish goals and objectives of the Company.Working Conditions and Physical EffortWork is performed in a plant environment.
