Job summary

Imasen Bucyrus is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment on the 2nd shift in Bucyrus, Ohio. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives to keep operations safe and efficient.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 4 years of related manufacturing maintenance experience, and hands-on expertise with electro-mechanical systems and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair production cells, welding robots, stamping presses, hydraulic presses and other electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and emergency repairs.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement repairs to minimize downtime.
• Replace worn or consumable parts and document repairs, adjustments, and modifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and complete required paperwork.
• Support Kaizen continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
• Maintain 5S standards and assist with model launches and process improvements.

Travel is minimal but may be requested by leadership. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair production assembly cells, welding robots, stamping presses, hydraulic presses, and other electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and emergency repairs to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production uptime.
• Replace worn or consumable parts and document completed repairs, adjustments, and equipment modifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, complete required paperwork, and record equipment observations and service activities.
• Support Kaizen continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, improve equipment performance, and increase efficiency.
• Maintain 5S standards, support new model launches, and assist with manufacturing troubleshooting and process improvements.
• Follow applicable ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements and complete training as assigned.

Required Technical Competencies

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and failures to minimize production downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations for robots and other manufacturing equipment.
• Replace worn or consumable parts and complete routine maintenance and equipment adjustments.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs documenting completed tasks, equipment observations, repairs, and adjustments.
