Job summary

Robert Bosch Tool Corporation in Lincolnton, NC is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to troubleshoot, install, and repair automated and CNC machinery, including robots, PLCs, HMIs, and servo systems. You will work on Fanuc and Denso robots, set up controls, diagnose electrical problems, and support production with reliable equipment.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in a manufacturing environment, strong reading of prints and schematics, safety compliance for 3-phase 480V

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read prints, schematics and equipment docs.
• Experience with PLCs, CNC controls, robots and HMIs.
• Ability to work safely with 3-phase 480V panels and PPE.
• Experience in SAP work order entry and continuous improvement activities.
• Team oriented with strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, and repair automated, robotic, and CNC machinery.
• Repair automatic paint lines, presses, welders, grinders, and related lines.
• Program PLCs and modify programs; configure HMIs and servo controllers.
• Teach robot positions and optimize material handling paths.
• Plan controls, diagnose electrical/electronic problems, replace parts, test units.
• Enter all work into SAP and support production.

Job Description

• Troubleshoot, install, and repair all aspects of Automatic, Robotic, and CNC machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair Automated Paint Lines, Setting Presses, Automated Welders, CNC Grinders, Robots, and other complex machinery.
• Duties may include: supporting all aspects of equipment and machinery; including PLC programming and program modifications, programming of HMI’s and servo controllers.
• Jog, and reset Fanuc and Denso Robots.
• Teach / Touch up Robot positions to correct material handling paths.
• Plan and install primary and secondary controls, diagnose electrical/electronic problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules, test units for proper function, and make final adjustments.
• Prepare wiring diagram to record changes.
• Make mechanical repairs as necessary. Some work and repairs require mechanical repairs, and all techs do this no matter of pay grade.
• Support the daily continuous improvement activities.
• Enter all work completed / in progress into SAP work order system.
• Any Other duties as deemed necessary to support production.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years experience in a similar manufacturing environment working with Control Systems, PLC's, CNC Controls, Robots, PC's and HMI's.
• Working knowledge of prints, schematics, and equipment documentation for installation, modification and repair of production equipment.
• Working knowledge of machine communications including understanding of communication cables and LAN components.
• Full competency in working safely in electrical control panels of various voltage levels.
• Qualified to work in electrical panels of 3-phase 480 volts and lower using all proper safety procedures and PPE. This will be verified by a practical demonstration before you can work in any panel.
• Good computer, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Communication, Teamwork, and strong customer service skills.
• Prior Robot Schools is a strong plus. (certificate required to operate and teach robots.)
