Hayes-Gibson-Property-Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 to repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems across our properties in Rock Island. This role supports safe, comfortable living environments and contributes to resident satisfaction and retention.

You’ll handle routine and preventative maintenance, respond to work orders, inspect facilities, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Repair & Maintain: perform routine and preventative maintenance on property buildings and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and more.
• Troubleshoot & Fix: respond to work orders, diagnose issues, and complete repairs.
• Inspect & Report: conduct regular inspections to identify problems and address them proactively.
• Safety & Compliance: ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company standards.

Principal Objective of Position: The Maintenance Technician 2 repairs and maintains all mechanical, electrical equipment, plumbing fixtures, structural facilities and grounds of the property. The Maintenance Technician 2 works towards the common goals of satisfactory cash flow, positive resident relations and optimal resident retention.

We’re looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team full-time and ensure our properties are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

What You'll Do:

• Repair & Maintain: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on property buildings and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and more.
• Troubleshoot & Fix: Respond promptly to work orders, diagnose issues, and complete necessary repairs to ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Inspect & Report: Conduct regular inspections of the properties to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company standards.

• Technical Skills: You have experience in general maintenance work, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs.

Work Hours & Benefits:

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM with flexibility. On-call as needed to respond to emergency maintenance requests.
