PercentPerforms preventive maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other predictive maintenance actions.20%Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.15%Repairs machines, equipment, or building systems, using equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.15%Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.10%Repairs machines, equipment or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools or power tools.10%Provides support of die maintenance and troubleshooting roll forming equipment10%Installs, programs, and repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.5%Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures and tools.
