Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an onsite Facilities Maintenance Technician in Grand Prairie, TX. You will install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain various production and facility equipment, applying strong electrical and mechanical skills to minimize downtime.

Role requires a HS diploma or GED with at least 2 years of relevant experience and the ability to read schematics. You will work in a safety-conscious environment with PPE, lockout/tagout practices, and a focus on continuous improvement.

What You Will Do:

• The facilities maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly assorted duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain various production and facility equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills required.
• Perform both electrical and mechanical work to makes emergency repairs from basic equipment to limit excessive downtime and production delays.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and ladder diagrams.
• Collect and analyze data to perform root cause analysis of production equipment problems.
• Use hand tools, power tools, oscilloscope and modern test equipment as required.
• Perform facilities maintenance including light plumbing, electric, HVAC, preventive maintenance.
• Order and maintain critical spare parts and supplies.
• Follows proper lock out/tag out procedures as required.
• Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE.
• Maintain safe work practices at all times.
• Ensure good housekeeping in area where working.
• Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.
• Follow detailed instructions.
• Learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Must be team-oriented with the ability to work with others including engineering, quality, managers, operators, etc.
• Follow all 6S practices and supports continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
