Job summary

Opella Healthcare Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and ensure reliability of packaging equipment in a cGMP environment. You will support changeovers, PM programs, and continuous improvement initiatives on the packaging line.

This 1st shift role runs Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 3:00pm, offering hands-on maintenance experience and opportunities to work with engineering on projects while ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• Four years' experience with automated controls or electromechanical equipment.
• Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of packaging equipment.
• Assist with changeovers and operation of packaging equipment.
• Support engineering on projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Set up equipment for different product sizes per setup sheets.
• Diagnose line issues and implement corrective actions.
• Dismantle/repair equipment and replace defective parts.
• Prepare specifications for major repair parts.
• Maintain clean, compliant work areas per cGMPs.

Hours are: 6:30am - 3:00pmMain responsibilities:Preventive and corrective maintenance of packaging equipmentAssist packaging personnel in the changeover and operation of packaging equipmentAssist Engineering in the implementation of projects and continuous improvement objectivesFacilitate the setup and adjustment of equipment for different product sizes according to packaging line set up sheets.Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities and provide input into improvements or additions to PM routinesObserving equipment in operation to diagnose source of problems affecting line performance and implementing corrective actionDismantle or partially dismantle equipment and perform repairs, replacing broken or defective parts and return equipment to operation.Prepare written specifications for major repair parts acquired through established vendors or from various machine shopsRecommend improvements for equipment operation and changeoverWork with packaging operations in to achieve maximum operating efficiencyMaintain clean work areas as required by FDA-cGMP’sOther duties will be assigned as requiredAbout youEducation: You must have a High School Diploma or completed GED.Experience: Four (4) years' experience working with automated controls and/or electromechanical manufacturing equipment.Special Requirements: You are required to comply with dress code regulations, be willing to undergo necessary training, and work in conditions with exposure to product, dust, grease, and packing machinery hazards.Simply put, we’re shaping a self-care revolution.
