Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking a Bridgestone Maintenance Technician (BMT) for our Wilson, NC facility. This role reports to a Group/Shift Lead and provides emergency and routine multi-craft maintenance support in a highly automated environment.

Primary duties include troubleshooting mechanical, electronic and electrical equipment and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate has PLC experience, a continuous improvement mindset, and is comfortable working

Qualifications

• 3+ years industrial maintenance technician experience in a multi-craft industrial manufacturing environment.
• Completed apprenticeship program AND 2+ years multi-craft maintenance experience OR 2-year technical degree in electronics/robotics/mechatronics with 2+ years experience.
• 4+ years of high-tech maintenance related military experience (e.g. US Navy-Nuclear or Aviation, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electronic, and electrical industrial equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Perform quick repair for trouble calls from operating technicians.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities (Kaizen).
