Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is seeking a Mechatronics and Robotics Technician to service a major client facility in Oregon. You will maintain and repair material handling equipment and robotic systems, ensuring safe, efficient operation and adherence to CMMS processes.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, tool use, and strong safety discipline. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of related experience and a high school diploma or GED, with

Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of related experience and/or training.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using powered or non-powered hand tools.
  • Ability to move up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
  • Solve electrical and mechanical issues related to all MHE, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays.
  • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
  • Complete and properly document preventative maintenance routines.
  • Track and store department inventory.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with client and operations teams.

About The Role

In this vital role, you willsupport the maintenance and operation of the building systems inside a clientfacility. You will repair, maintain, and continuously improve functionality ofmaterial handling equipment (MHE) and robotic systems throughout the facility.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need
  • Applicants must becurrently authorized to work in United States without the need for visasponsorship now or in the future.
  • High school diplomaor general education degree (GED).
  • 1 year of relatedexperience and/or training.
  • Proficiency usingcomputers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience usingpowered or non-powered hand tools.
  • Ability to solveproblems and carry out general instructions in standard situations such as;routine maintenance, repairs, preventative measures, emergency responses,coordination, and safety compliance.
  • Ability to move upto 50lbs and physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, andclimbing stairs / ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s orhigher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in themechanical or electrical field.
  • 2+ yearsapprenticeship or equivalent experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulicand pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with MHEsafety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) andSafety standards.
  • Experience with aComputerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • 2+ years' experiencewith automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • 2+ years' experienceconducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • 2+ years ofblueprint and electrical schematic reading
  • 2+ year of knowledgewith electrical and electronic principles
  • 2+ year experienceof following and demonstrating safety standards
  • 1+ year experiencein troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems
