Job summary

Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain warehouse and production equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and packing machinery.

The role also covers plumbing, welding, and other mechanical services to keep operations running smoothly. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, 3+ years in mechanical maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and be able to lift 75 lbs and access rooftops; proficiency in MS Office is expected.

• 3+ years in mechanical maintenance preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Strong electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must own standard hand tools and be able to lift 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repair and maintenance work, predictive and preventive inspections.
• Repair pallet jacks, forklifts, production equipment and systems, and plumbing.
• Install and design equipment used in production.
• Conduct minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, building maintenance).
• Assist in completing other service requests as needed.

Purpose of Position:

This position will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of warehouse and production equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and food packing equipment. In this role, it also performs general plumbing, welding, and other mechanical maintenance services.

Accountabilities:

• Perform routine repair and maintenance work, predictive and preventive inspections.
• Perform routine repair and maintenance work on pallet jacks, forklifts, production equipment and systems, and plumbing.
• Perform installation and design of equipment used in production.
• Perform minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, electrical, and/or general building maintenance, etc.).
• Assist in completing other service requests as needed.

Minimum Skills Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 3+ years related work experience, in mechanical maintenance.
• Valid Driver's License and excellent driving record.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical, plumbing, general maintenance troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to drive a light truck, lift a minimum of 75 lbs., and be able to work from rooftops 30 feet or higher.
• Excellent communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
• Knowledge and experience with controls.
• Must own a set of standard hand tools.
