Job summary

Bellingham at West Chester is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a full-time role with rotating on-call hours in our senior living community. You will perform routine and emergency repairs across residential apartments and public spaces, including electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate has experience in residential building upkeep, strong communication with residents and staff, and the ability to work under general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and common areas (electrical, plumbing, doors, fixtures).
• Responds to emergency calls for system or equipment failure.
• Completes work orders with detailed task and equipment information.
• Assists other maintenance and HVAC personnel on campus projects.
• Maintains stocks and supplies to ensure timely task completion.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician:

• Performs routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas including correcting electrical malfunctions, repairing, and replacing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and fittings, repairing and replacing light bulbs and fixtures, repairing doors and locks, etc.
• Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure.
• Completes all work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information regarding the task(s) performed along with all prescribed/pertinent equipment information.
• Will assist other Maintenance and HVAC personnel, when necessary, in the completion of various projects or repairs including campus snow removal.
• Assists in maintaining proper levels of materials and supplies for the campus to ensure the timely and efficient completion of necessary tasks.
• Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
• Working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances.
• Effectively communicate with residents and staff.
• Function under general supervision.
• Ability to effectively work with residents and staff.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older and have a minimum education of High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience preferred.
