The Maintenance Technician supports one or multiple apartment properties maintaining routine service requests as well as preventative maintenance. He/she will be responsible for completing this work safely and timely to provide our residents with superior customer service. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician for our apartment community in West Chester, PA.

$1000 SIGN ON BONUS.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Exhibiting strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer.
• Communicating and working well with both leasing and maintenance staff members.
• Always representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, service requests, turnovers, preventative maintenance to units and common areas as well as any other duties assigned.
• Sharing on-call responsibility.
• Diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical and plumbing related issues.
• Providing own (basic) hand tools.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Attending in-house training as required.
• Maintaining current preventative maintenance property logs.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Demonstrate theappropriateand safe use of standard hand and power tools.
• Lifting and moving heavy items (water heaters, appliances, rock salt, etc.)
• Be able to shovel and salt asrequired.
• Performroutine,preventative maintenance.
• Knowledge and practice of a variety of building trade skills.
• Be able to work on step/extension ladders and roofs while following safety protocols.
• Able and willing to lift objects asrequired.
• Keep track of inventory andmaintaina clean and stocked shop.
• Complete work ordersin a timely manner.
• Identifysafety and hazardous conditions and communicate any issues.
• Follow company operational and safety procedures.
• Ability toworkan on-call schedule asrequired.
