Job summary

CooperZadeh Holdings is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our Build-to-Rent communities in Waxahachie, Texas. The role focuses on upkeep of rental homes, completing service requests promptly, and upholding safety standards across the portfolio.

You will diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues, perform preventative maintenance, and document work orders in Yardi CMMS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of residential, multifamily, or BTR maintenance experience.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, septic systems and appliance repair.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests within company response and completion standards.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, septic systems, and carpentry issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance per schedule to reduce emergency calls.
• Execute make-ready tasks and support turn timelines.
• Document all work orders accurately in Yardi CMMS.
• Conduct property inspections and identify repair scope needs.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Follow OSHA, city, and warranty compliance standards.
• Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.

CooperZadeh Holdings is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support our Build-to-Rent (BTR) communities in Waxahachie, Texas. This role is responsible for maintaining high-quality rental homes, completing service requests efficiently, supporting make-ready turns, and upholding safety and operational standards across the portfolio. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in delivering a “rent-ready WOW” product, reducing emergency repairs through preventative maintenance, and ensuring professional resident interactions while protecting company assets.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Complete service requests within company response and completion standards.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, drywall, Septic systems, and carpentry issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance per schedule to reduce emergency calls.
• Execute make-ready tasks and support turn timelines.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of residential, multifamily, or BTR maintenance experience.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, Septic systems and appliance repair.

Certifications

• EPA Certification – Type II or Universal (preferred).

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in CMMS platforms; experience with Yardi strongly preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and prioritize work effectively.
• Comfortable using mobile devices for work order management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in Texas/Oklahoma heat and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to climb stairs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Other Requirements

• Valid Texas-Oklahoma driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel between assigned communities.
• Assist with Emergency Calls as needed.
• Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and accountability.
