Schedule: Mon - Thurs; 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of facility infrastructure and equipment, including electrical systems, plumbing, machinery, vehicles, and building systems. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all equipment through routine and corrective maintenance activities. The position requires adherence to established safety standards, procedures, and housekeeping protocols while maintaining accurate maintenance records. Collaboration with team members and support of operational needs are essential to ensure overall facility performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance on facility infrastructure and equipment.
  • Follow established procedures, safety standards, and housekeeping protocols.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections.
  • Requisition parts and supplies as needed to support maintenance activities.
  • Operate hand tools and pneumatic equipment effectively to complete assigned tasks.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to support a cooperative and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure workspaces are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
  • Communicate operational concerns and support requirements to supervisors and relevant departments.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely support, resolve service-related issues, and obtain necessary information.
  • Support overtime and on-call maintenance requirements as needed.
  • Adhere to company environmental, safety programs, policies, and procedures and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements

Education/Certifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License preferred.

Experience

  • Experience in maintenance or related technical work is preferred but not required and will be considered.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to perform maintenance tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and facility maintenance practices.
  • Ability to safely operate tools, machinery, and material handling equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external vendors.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to work in environments with exposure to noise, vibration, extreme temperatures, and hazardous conditions.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy work, including exerting significant force and performing activities such as lifting, pulling, stooping, crawling, crouching, kneeling, grasping, and repetitive motion.
  • Ability to use required personal protective equipment and work in environments requiring close visual attention to detail.
