Job summary

Serioplast, a global leader in rigid plastic packaging, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Mount Jackson, Virginia plants. The role focuses on maintaining production continuity and equipment uptime in a fast-paced, international environment.

Responsibilities include electromechanical installation, regular inspections, and preventive maintenance. The position offers growth in a dynamic company committed to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and/or electronics.
• Familiarity with plastic molding technologies (EBM/SBM/IM).
• Knowledge of health, safety and environment rules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production continuity through proper maintenance of machines, equipment and facilities.
• Install and set up machines and equipment (compressors, air conditioning, dryers, etc.).
• Perform regular inspections, replace worn parts and coordinate with suppliers for parts or support.
• Set up and regulate mold sets.
• Conduct preventive maintenance per plan.
• Perform emergency repairs to restore functionality.
• Assist external suppliers during servicing and maintenance.

Serioplast, a Global Leader in Rigid Plastic Packaging, is Looking for a Maintenance Technician for the plants in Mount Jackson, Virginia!

N.B: The selection will start beginning summer 2025

What will you do?

• Ensure production continuity through the correct maintenance of machines, equipment,and facilities in compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards and procedures.
• Carry out the electromechanical installation and setup of machines and equipment (compressors, air conditioning, driers, leak test, cameras, palletizers, etc.)
• Carry out regular inspections on machines, equipment, and facilities, checking relevant parameters and meter readings; detect and replace worn-out parts, timely submit requests for necessary spare parts or supplier’s technical support to the Technical Manager
• Perform mechanical set-up and regulations of mold sets
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment according to the maintenance plan
• Perform emergency repairs in case of breakdowns, halts, or failures and ensure machines and equipment functionality is fully restored
• Support during inspections, servicing, and maintenance activities by external suppliers
• Keep records of maintenance activities to track the lifespan of equipment and spare parts

What are we looking for?

• Excellent applied knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and/or electronic systems
• Good knowledge of plastic molding technologies (EBM and/or SBM and/or IM)
• Good applied knowledge of WCM standards
• Basic knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment rules and practices
• Ability to operate manual and electric forklifts
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the maintenance department in a manufacturing company
