Job summary

E-Space, based out of Arlington, TX, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day equipment maintenance in a thin-film PV manufacturing environment. You will work under the Maintenance Engineer/Manager, performing PMs, troubleshooting, and ensuring high equipment uptime across production tools in a cleanroom setting.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing, familiarity with CMMS, and a proactive approach to reliability.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably semiconductor, electronics, or cleanroom.
  • Experience performing PMs and troubleshooting on production equipment including vacuum systems, robotics, conveyors, and process tools.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems for work order management and maintenance tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance (PM) on sputter systems, laser trim equipment, photolithography tools, wet etch, electrical plating tools, and assembly packaging equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems.
  • Operate and maintain robotics, conveyors, industrial ovens, cryogenic components, vacuum hoses, bearings, and chain drives in a cleanroom environment.
  • Log all maintenance activities in the system including work orders, asset tracking, and maintenance history.
  • Support equipment calibration and process stabilization to improve production efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Follow all lockout/tagout, EHS, and cleanroom protocols during maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Engineer / Manager on scheduling and prioritizing maintenance activities.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and line expansion projects as needed.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day equipment maintenance operations in a thin-film PV manufacturing environment, working directly under the supervision of the Maintenance Engineer / Manager. This hands-on role focuses on executing preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring high equipment uptime across production tools including vacuum systems, robotics, conveyors, and process equipment. The ideal candidate has a solid background in semiconductor or cleanroom maintenance,and a proactive approach to equipment reliability.

What you will bring to this role:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electro-Mechanical technology preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably semiconductor, electronics, or cleanroom.
  • Experience performing PMs and troubleshooting on production equipment including vacuum systems, robotics, conveyors, and process tools.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems for work order management and maintenance tracking.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and follow maintenance SOPs, equipment manuals, and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom or controlled-environment setting.
Extra points for the following:
  • Direct experience with sputter systems, laser trim tools, wet benches, or photolithography equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with cryogenic components, vacuum pumps, or precision optical systems.
  • CMMS experience with eMaintenance, SAP, Maximo, or similar platforms.
  • Background in semiconductor or thin-film PV manufacturing.
  • Experience training or mentoring other technicians.

This is a full time, exempt position, based out of our Arlington, TX office.
