Job summary

IDEX Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain manufacturing equipment and facilities. This hands-on role supports both production and facility needs, including cleanroom and non-clean spaces.

The ideal candidate will have strong integrity, be highly motivated, and work well in a team with minimal supervision. Requirements include 5+ years in manufacturing equipment and facility maintenance, solid knowledge of facility systems, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to prioritize assignments and manage time effectively.
• Capable of working independently and completing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to make sound decisions within assigned responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment: mechanical, software, basic electrical, basic controls.
• Identify and submit procurement tickets for spare parts.
• Serve as primary point of contact on shift for equipment maintenance and parts replacement.
• Coordinate with engineering and management on scheduled maintenance needs.
• Maintain/Install machine control systems as needed.
• Maintain facility systems including HVAC, compressed air, chilled-water, and nitrogen systems.
• Close out maintenance requests related to the facility; basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks.
• Keep facility and workspace clean and orderly; assist in cleanup events when equipment malfunctions.
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized system support.
• Support Continuous Improvement events and team activities.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing to improve process and equipment reliability.
• Learn and work on vacuum chamber coating system equipment.
• Proficient with MS Office tools.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to maintain manufacturing equipment, and facilities maintenance. This is an active hands‑on role in support of facilities and production needs simultaneously. The right candidate will be flexible with changing priorities and have an ability to work with minimal supervision. This role will be supporting equipment in a cleanroom environment as well as fabrication equipment in non‑clean spaces. ESSENTIAL FUNCTONS:

• Must support the EH&S program by following IDEX guidance and processes and be EH&S point of contact on shift for production.
• Responsible for promoting a culture of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Growth.
• Other duties/ functions as determined by business need or assigned by the Manager or his/her designate.
• Other related duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Works in a manufacturing and inspection environment.
• Moderate walking, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching required.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds.
• Operates tools, equipment, and machinery in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Required to maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Must follow established safety procedures.
• Responsible for correcting unsafe conditions when possible and reporting hazards to management or the Safety Committee immediately.
• Travel may be required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Five (5) or more years of experience with manufacturing equipment & facility maintenance
