You will assist with start-up, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repairs for facilities systems, equipment and buildings, contributing to a fast-growing, science-driven organization. The role includes performing daily work orders and PMs, coordinating with contractors, and supporting critical utility and building systems in a cGMP environment.

Qualifications

• An AAS degree in Engineering or Construction Technologies with relevant experience in facilities maintenance.
• Maintenance Technician II: 2+ years of related experience; Technician III: 5+ years or more.
• Basic troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily work orders and preventive maintenance, coordinating completion and documentation.
• Complete work requests for repairs on general building systems.
• Coordinate and supervise contracted maintenance and procurement processes.
• Operate and maintain utility systems, manufacturing equipment, and building systems in a cGMP environment.
• Assist plant utility and HVAC operations and related systems as needed.

We are currently looking to fill a Maintenance Technician position to join our General Maintenance group. Our Maintenance Technicians assist with the start-up, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair work for a variety of facilities systems, equipment and buildings. When & Where:

• Location: Rensselaer, New York, United States
• Working shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

What you’ll do:

• Perform daily work orders (WOs) and preventative maintenance (PMs), while efficiently coordinating the work completion and documentation of PMs and WOs
• Complete Work Requests for repairs on general building repairs and tasks
• Coordinate and supervise contracted maintenance including defining scope, obtaining bids or proposals, and initiating purchase requisitions to complete tasks
• Perform daily operations, maintenance, and repairs on utility systems, manufacturing equipment, and building systems in a cGMP environment with minimal supervision, including but not limited to: Assisting Plant Utility Technicians with water and boiler operations and chemical treatment programs
• Assisting HVAC Technicians with chiller plant & cooling tower operations and systems and air compressor systems
• Assisting with repairs on pharmaceutical compressed gases and piping
• Assisting Clean Utility Technicians in Water Room operations
• Support all aspects of general maintenance including supporting cleanroom maintenance, pest control, and inspection readiness tasks
• Participate in rotational on-call schedule
• May need to work off-shift to provide 24/7 coverage

Ability to perform physical requirements for entirety of shift (up to 10 hours) in a clean room environment Some physical requirements can include but are not limited to: bending, climbing, crawling, kneeling, reaching, reaching overhead, sitting, squatting, walking, standing, driving, hand manipulation and ability to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs

Qualifications

• An AAS degree, preferably in an Engineering or Construction Technologies related field, and the following minimum amounts of relevant experience for each level:
• Maintenance Technician II: 2+ years of related experience, or HSD/GED with 5+ years of related experience
• Maintenance Technician III: 5+ years of related experience, or HSD/GED with 8+ years of related experience
• Can demonstrate basic problem solving skills
• Exhibit effective time management skills to achieve goals in a timely manner
• Have basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and overall general familiarity with computer systems
• Prior experience in the maintenance and operation of large scale utilities plant preferred
• Level will be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.

Salary Range (hourly) $24.76 - $44.42
