Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift

Location: Woodville, WI

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our 1st shift team in Woodville, WI. This hands-on role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery and mechanical systems to ensure consistent, efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial equipment and facility systems as well as possess a proactive approach to maintenance, keeping detailed records and work efficiently to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and control issues in production machinery using diagrams, sketches, manuals, and manufacturer specifications
  • Tear down, rebuild, and adjust machinery and mechanical equipment for optimal performance
  • Install new machines, equipment, fixtures, and complete necessary utility hook-ups
  • Perform facility maintenance tasks including welding, plumbing, painting, and carpentry
  • Maintain facility systems such as lighting, HVAC, and structural components
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, lubrication, and documentation for production equipment
  • Keep detailed repair and maintenance logs and track downtime for each machine
  • Instruct production teams on proper preventive maintenance procedures
  • Design and fabricate small manufacturing equipment, tools, and fixtures
  • Perform precision machining and fitting using a variety of hand and power tools
  • Set up and operate machine shop equipment to create or repair high-tolerance parts
  • Ensure proper use, care, and organization of all tools and equipment

Qualifications

  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience with rotary die cutting machinery
  • Minimum 3 years of facility systems maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose issues accurately without trial-and-error
  • Proficiency in the use of hand/power tools, measuring instruments, and machining equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints and work with close tolerances
  • Knowledge of various metals and machining processes
  • Capable of working independently, prioritizing tasks, and minimizing downtime
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
