Job summary

Leprino Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, disassemble, repair and maintain plant equipment. The role covers safe repair and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems, calibration of instruments, and preventive/predictive maintenance.

The position may require hazmat team participation and adherence to safety rules. The schedule is 7:00 am–7:30 pm with 2-2-3 rotation and weekend/holiday coverage as needed at the Waverly plant.

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical duties such as maintaining/re-building pumps, valves, conveyors, sprockets, gearboxes, etc.
• Complete preventive maintenance work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components and machinery, including three-phase 480, 240 and other plant systems.
• Calibrate plant instrumentation (temperature, flow, pH, vacuum, pressure, etc.).
• Follow safety policies and maintain good housekeeping in the area.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, team leads, and supervisors.

Job description

TheMaintenance Technician is responsible for installing, disassembling, repairing, and maintaining equipment. The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for the safe repair and troubleshooting of malfunctioning mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation systems, the calibration of instruments, and performing mechanical, preventive, and predictive maintenance. This position participates on the hazmat response team (which requires candidate to be clean-shaven for the respirator to fit properly).

Schedule:

• This position is Days 7:00 am-7:30pm./ 2-2-3 Schedule with a 3 day weekened every other week!
• Leprino's Waverly plant is a 24/7 operating facility, and the employee must be willing and able to work weekends, holidays, and other shifts as necessary.

Pay Rate:

• $36.86 per hour

• $0.75 Evening Pay Differential for every evening hourworked between 6:00pm-6:00am
• $1.00 Weekend Pay Differential for every hourworked Saturday & Sunday

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical duties such as maintaining/re-building pumps, valves, conveyors, sprockets, gearboxes, etc.
• Complete preventive maintenance work orders.
• Work with industrial electricity (motor controls) to troubleshoot and repair electrical components and machinery including all three phase 480, 240 and other plant systems.
• Calibrate all plant instrumentation in a wide variety of makes and types specifications (i.e., temperature, flow, pH, vacuum, pressure, Foxboro, Honeywell, Micromotion, Fischer, Anderson, etc.).
• Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct.
• Follow company's good manufacturing and safety policies and procedures. Maintain housekeeping in area (i.e., toolboxes).
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, team leads, and supervisors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
• At least two (2) years prior maintenance mechanic experience in manufacturing environment.
