Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a maintenance technician for our bakery in Topeka, Kansas. You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on process equipment to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

The role requires the ability to read English documents, use power and hand tools, and lift up to 50 pounds in a hot manufacturing environment. Ladders and stairs are part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English.
• Able to use all power tools, hand tools, drill presses, shop tools, etc.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand or stoop for prolonged periods in a hot environment.
• Capable of moving up and down building stairways in a multi-level plant to reach job assignments and perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment to keep it safe, functional, and efficient.
• Learn and demonstrate competency at maintaining and troubleshooting process equipment to progress through training programs.
• Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted.
